For some reason I just haven’t had the time or the inclination to sit down and record another audio blog. So, here’s a text version of my thoughts lately.
I am really looking forward to next Tuesday the 26th. That’s the day Justice League: New Frontier becomes available.
I plan to purchase the 2 disc set. If it’s not available at WalMart that day I will order it from at Amazon.com. The reviews I have read and heard from people who have seen the advance copies absolutely rave about it.
Her’es a link to the official movie site – New Frontier
Riddle Me This –
I noticed something the other day. I buy the 2 liter size Diet Pepsi. It’s less expensive that way. I just pour out a glass and keep the rest in the frig. The other day I noticed when I poured the last few drops out of the container, I screwed the cap back on before throwing it in the garbage can. Why did I bother to put the cap back on??? I mean there isn’t anything left inside to spill. And it’s just going into the trash.
Rant Time – Time Travel
By the way, this image is taken from the old Time Tunnel tv series which ran from 1966 to 1967. It was about a couple of scientists who travel back in time and can’t get home; they just keep bouncing from one historical event to another. Here’s a few links for more information:

Anyway, time travel is a popular theme of science fiction. But the thing that bugs me is something like this – big problem in the present. Let’s fix it by sending our hero to the past to repair whatever event caused the trouble. So, they shoot the hero into the past. Nothing changes but scientists in the present say “He’s only been gone a few minutes. He has 36 hours to put things right”. WRONG! If the hero was successful in the past then the moment he traveled back the present would be altered – no matter how long it takes him to accomplish the mission. If nothing changes the instant he is sent back then he failed.
**Note to self – get out your Time Tunnel DVD’s and watch series again.
And now another Little Story for Little Children –
THE BURNT CHILD.
One day a child wanted to reach something off the mantel shelf, and not being tall enough, she stood on the fender, and her mother said, “Fanny, you must not get on the fender, it will turn over, and then you will fall in the fire and be sadly burnt.â€
But Fanny was not a good child, and did not always do as she was bid: so when her mother went out of the room, she wanted to get her father’s watch that lay on the mantel shelf, and she stood on the fender to reach it, but the fender turned over, and Fanny fell in the hearth and her clothes took fire. She screamed loudly, but she was not heard for a little time, and when her mother ran to her, all her clothes were in a blaze; she rolled the rug over to put out the flame and then carried her to bed. Poor Fanny was sadly burnt, and it was a long time before she was well, and she had a great many scars on her face and neck which never wore off.
I guess that’s about it for now.
