I happened to run down to the Uintah County Library today to return a couple of items. So, I took a stroll through the DVD section and found this set of disks -

I have wanted to see this series of Superman Serials for years. There’s a lot more information about these Superman serials at the following link – Superman Homepage – Serials. This site also has a good review of the DVD.

I have watched the first 2 episode (about 15 minutes each). The creators used an interesting mix of live action and animation for the sequences they couldn’t actually film with 1948 technology.
Lois Lane looks like she’s about 12 years old even though Noel Neill is in her late 20’s at the time. Get a load of her hat –

Bourne Again

I usually don’t post about the tv shows I watch since there are a lot better websites for discussing and analyzing the programs. But last night’s Smallville was pretty cool since it had a big “noir” type sequence. But there were also some pretty good goofs in the episode. Rather than put them in the main blog page I made a seperate page for them. Go here – Smallville – Noir

It reminded me of a movie I watched a couple of months back entitled Brick. It’s a modern day movie where all the actors all speak in the “noir” fashion.
