Gotta Podcast

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

I just celebrated a birthday and got a real nice surprise. Three really great presents.
The first package contained a Shure SM58 microphone:

Along with the microphone there was a stand.
Then I opened this, an interface to take an audio source and plug it into a USB port. Naturally, I wondered what this was for…

Then I opened this one. A Behringer 1002 mixer. It mixes 10 seperate sources along with 99 effects.

Now I have no excuse not to start doing a podcast or some freelance voice work. Actually, I have been working on a podcast idea but it’s not to the recording stage yet.

I’m An Imgination Ranger!

Ever since I have been listening to podcasts I have followed The Radio Adventures of Doctor Floyd. Recently the program offered a membership deal to become an Imagination Ranger. So, I joined and got a nifty package of stuff. Here’s the website for the membership – Imagination Nation.
Benefits of the membership include access to episodes before they are normally released, message board, and more.

Here’s some of the stuff they sent –

A membership certificate:

A membership card:

And another card with images of Dr. Floyd, Dr. Grant and C.H.I.P.S. on one side:

And Dr. Steve and Fidgert on the other:

I also got a glow-in-the-dark decoder ring and a button.
