On another thought –

I’m watching a commercial for a sleep aid. At the end of the ad the announcer says something to the effect of “Do not operate heavy machinery…”

What?!? This is a medicine you take right before going to bed! Nobody takes a dose of this stuff and then says, “I think I’ll just go out and run the tractor across the back 40 before bed.”

Mrs. JohnStuff and I finally sat down this weekend and watched the Donner cut of Superman II. In my mind it is a much better, tighter movie.
But, as it states at the beginning of the movie, a couple of scenes were actually screen tests since they didn’t have the Donner versions and couldn’t re-shoot. I’m not going to say which sequence it is, but you can tell if you try.

Overall, I like this version much better than the one released in 1981. And this one segues much better into the recent Superman Returns, which takes place 5 years after this one.
